CEO Marcus Chew Visits Rig GHTH in Myanmar

On July 26th, Energy Drilling Management Pte Ltd CEO, Marcus Chew, visited the rig GHTH. He was joined by senior executives from WEFIC, Halliburton, Baker Hughes, Schlumberger, COSL, and EDrill.
The VIPs began their day with a comprehensive briefing on the drilling rig, followed by a tour of the GHTH. The visitors thoroughly inspected the facility, commending the crew for their exceptional operational readiness and housekeeping standards.
Marcus addressed the crew, highlighting the importance of resilience, drawing parallels with figures like Nelson Mandela and companies like Apple. He emphasised that resilience of individuals and the company is vital in ensuring the survival of EDrill. He also challenged everyone to aspire to greater heights as individuals to bring the company to the next stage of growth.
Marcus’s message was motivational, reinforcing the idea that with collective effort and resilience, Energy Drilling can achieve great things. He acknowledged the improvements at GHTH and addressed the challenges faced by other EDrill rigs, encouraging a team-focused approach to overcome them. He set a goal of ZERO incidents for the remainder of the project, urging everyone to work together to achieve this target.
The visit concluded with a heartfelt group photo on the GHTH helideck, celebrating Energy Drilling’s milestones. The entire GHTH team extends their gratitude to Marcus Chew for his inspiring words and unwavering support.
