At Energy Drilling, giving back to the community is not just a philosophy; it is an integral part of who we are. We recognize that our operations in Thailand thrive because of the support of the local communities, which include the homes, friends, and families of our dedicated crew members.
Yesterday, our team on Edrill-1, under the leadership of Rig Manager Chad Bartlett, alongside committee members consisting of Somchoke Dangsomsa-ard (STO), Phaibun Phumphuang (Tourpusher), Suttisak Kaewmanee (Senior Welder), Kiatisak Chinji (Barge Captain), Atchariya Wongbamrungtawee (Crane Operator), Peerayut Noppaka (Driller), Plaitas Visuttitham (AD), Pongsakorn Pasuntharatham (Asst. Electrician), Warunyou Thammakkawan (Materialman), Suphis Sangkaew (Pumpman), Panuwat Damvong (RSTB), Wiroon Boonrak (RSTB), and Parinya Makk, organized a heartwarming charity event for the Wat Hua Kuan School in the Pattalung district of Thailand. This school is home to 197 students ranging from kindergarten to grade 6, and we were eager to support them in acquiring much-needed apparel and sports equipment.
To raise funds for the school, Edrill-1 designed and sold t-shirts, rallying both our team and the broader community behind this worthy cause. The amount raised was then used to procure essential sporting paraphernalia, including futsal balls, soccer balls, volleyballs, and table tennis equipment, to enrich the students’ learning experience.
On the day of the event, an opening ceremony took place with the presence of the school’s Director and Community Leaders. The Director warmly welcomed our crew members and expressed gratitude for our support. The highlight of the ceremony was the heartfelt presentation of donations to the school and individual students, which left an indelible mark on everyone present.
But it wasn’t just about the donations. A joyous luncheon, prepared and served by our caring crew members, allowed for meaningful interactions between the students and our team, fostering a genuine bond between them.
We firmly believe that education is a powerful tool that can break the cycle of poverty.
