EDrill-3 Safety Award for 2 Million Man Hours without LTI

May 8, 2015

The construction of EDrill-3 Semi-Tender Rig in COSCO Guangdong Shipyard is in the final phase of testing and commissioning. The project has achieved yet another major safety milestone of more than 2 million man hours without Loss Time Incident.

This milestone was celebrated with a safety ceremony and awards presentation from Energy Drilling Management to COSCO Project Team and their contractors. Adding to the perfect safety record for EDrill-1 and EDrill-2 projects, we have achieved a total of 5 million man hours without LTI. This record demonstrates the high level of safety-consciousness that the Yard and Owner instilled on all the personnel involved in these projects. The success to date is indeed a testimony of the strong collaboration and partnership between Energy Drilling and COSCO Guangdong Shipyard.
