Singapore, 2 March 2026 – Energy Drilling Pte. Ltd. (“Energy Drilling” or the “Company”), a leading provider of tender-assisted drilling services, today announces a planned leadership transition as part of the company’s succession process.
Marcus Chew, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Energy Drilling, will step down from his role as CEO and assume the position of Executive Chairman of Energy Drilling Pte. Ltd. He will also continue to serve as a Board member of Energy Holdings.
Luc Plouzennec, currently Vice President Operations & Marketing, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Energy Drilling. In addition, Chua Yong Chiang, currently Marketing Manager, will assume the role of Vice President Operations & Marketing.
Marcus Chew founded Energy Drilling in 2012 and has led the Company since inception. Under his leadership, Energy Drilling has developed into a recognized leader within the tender-assisted drilling segment, with a modern fleet, strong operational track record and long-standing client relationships across Southeast Asia and beyond.

Luc Plouzennec joined Energy Drilling in 2017 and has served as Vice President Operations & Marketing. He holds a Master of Science degree in General Engineering from Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Arts et Metiers and brings extensive industry experience from Schlumberger and Ensco. His background includes roles as Rig Manager in Africa, the North Sea and Southeast Asia, as well as Regional Operations Manager overseeing jack-ups and semi-submersible rigs across Asia Pacific.

Chua Yong Chiang has been with Energy Drilling in various technical and commercial roles, most recently as Marketing Manager. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) and previously held senior offshore positions with Keppel FELS and Seadrill before joining Energy Drilling. His appointment as Vice President Operations & Marketing reflects the Company’s focus on internal talent development and leadership continuity.
